U.S. Patent index is available from 1974. It gives the Bibliographic Textual details of U.S. patents. Each month, the PatentView series of disks include an extra CD-Rom with a cummulative index database of searchable data. The available fields for searching are Bibliographic Data and Textual Data
The Bibliographic Data includes Patent No., Type, Issue date, Inventor's name, Inventor's State, Assignee Name, Assignee State, Filing Date, Serial No., Related Filing Date, Related Serial No., Related Patent No., Priority Country, Priority Date, Priority Application No., US Class, US Class Reference.
The Textual Data contains the fields of Abstract, Exemplary Claims and Text Fields. The data Fields are searchable, viewable, printable and exportable.
The Index disks provide the Patent View disks' number to tell which disk to place in CD-Rom Drive to access these images for viewing or printing or exporting
Each successive cummulating index disk supersedes its predecessor. Finally it is cummulated over the course of the year.
