The Additional Search and Information Support Tools (ASIST) disc contains a variety of files which assists in establishing a field of patent search. The disc includes a Patent Assignee File showing assignments at time of issue for Utility patents 1969+, for the other types of patents 1977+, inventors for 1975+. The Attorney Roster File, Index to the U.S. Patent Classifiaction, IPC-USPC concordance and Classification Order Index are also available on the disc. Recent enhancement to ASIST includes Classification Definitions, Manual of Patent Examining Procedure and CAST ( Classification, Art Unit, SPE and Telephone numbers).
